InnoCaption

InnoCaption is a mobile app designed to provide real-time captioning for phone calls, catering to individuals with hearing loss. It leverages two captioning modes: automated speech recognition (ASR) and live human stenographers. The ASR option utilizes best-in-class AI, while the stenographer option offers accurate captions and additional context, particularly valuable in complex conversations. Users can switch between these modes during calls. InnoCaption offers features like seamless call forwarding, allowing users to retain their existing phone number. Call transcripts are available for review, enabling users to recall important call details, and can be saved or emailed. Voicemail messages are also captioned using ASR, with an option for re-captioning by live captioners. InnoCaption is FCC-certified and offered at no cost to individuals with hearing loss in the United States, funded by the FCC.
