Overview
Tandem Diabetes Care Control-IQ is an automated insulin delivery system designed to help individuals manage their diabetes more effectively. The core technology uses a predictive algorithm to forecast glucose levels and automatically adjusts insulin delivery to prevent hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. It integrates with compatible continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to track glucose levels in real-time and adjusts basal insulin, and delivers correction boluses when needed. Control-IQ+ is now available for ages 2+ (type 1 diabetes) and 18+ (type 2 diabetes). The system is available via the t:slim X2 insulin pump and Tandem Mobi System, offering different form factors to suit various lifestyles. The Control-IQ technology aims to reduce the burden of diabetes management by automating many of the decisions related to insulin dosing, improving time in range, and providing greater peace of mind for users and their caregivers.
